The Old Quarter is where most visitors to Hanoi stay, and it is also where doing laundry is hardest — narrow streets, packed traffic and small shops that do not pick up. Giặt Ơi! is launching a pickup-and-delivery service that comes to your hotel or hostel in the Old Quarter, so you never have to carry a laundry bag through the crowds.
Why laundry is awkward in the Old Quarter
The Old Quarter packs hundreds of hotels, hostels and homestays into 36 tight streets around Hoan Kiem Lake. Hotel laundry here is priced for convenience, and the few local shops mostly serve residents, with no English and no delivery. Walking around looking for a laundromat wastes the limited time you have in Hanoi.
Pickup from your hostel or hotel
When Giặt Ơi! launches, you will book over WhatsApp or Zalo and a driver will collect your bag from reception — you do not even need to be there. Your clothes are weighed on the spot, washed by the kilo, machine-dried and folded, then dropped back at the same hostel. You pay on delivery.
Good for backpackers and short stays
Backpackers travel light and stay a few nights, so clean clothes matter. Flat per-kilo pricing with a 5kg minimum means a full wash costs only a few dollars, and the same-day express option means you can have everything clean before you move on to Sapa, Ha Long or your flight out.
